Last Minute 2 for 1 Cards and Tags
By Darcy Pollock
Cut card front panels at 4” x 5 1/4” from watercolor paper. Gather some Distress inks in winter colors. Smoosh onto your craft mat. Spray lightly with water. Dip/smoosh cardstock into ink. Don't overdo it.
If you get a big puddle use a corner of a dry paper towel to suck up the big dots. Dry with heat tool. Dip again & dry. Repeat if necessary until you are happy. Spray a bit more water onto the ink left on your craft mat and use the BACK of the panel to mop it up. This is just so the back of your tag will have some color, it will just be lighter.
Diecut Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Snowflake onto panel and set aside. Using the panel, decorate the inside as desired. Here are a few ideas.
Lavinia swing bed small & fairy charms used in the light blue one. Christmas sentiment – Spirit of Christmas, also from Lavinia. Stamped onto vellum with Distress OXIDE and clear heat embossing powder. Heat gently.
Other cards use sweet Pippin from Lavinia, one heat embossed in white & Distress Ink blended over then buffed off.
You can also just stamp a sentiment in the middle & be done if you are really running late! Aren't we all?
Cut 2” stitched circles. Using Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Sayings stamp onto circle in matching colors to snowflakes. Distress Oxide Inks work great for stamping & match the inks you used earlier. You can also add small images to the tag to fill in, such as Lawn Fawn animals if your pet cat, dog or penguin wants to give you a gift!
