A very Modern Christmas card

I thought I would do a Christmas card in non-traditional colors. I chose lavender and blue and die an embossed resist technique. Pretty happy with how this turned out. Super simple and quick!

I started out stamping the Wow Modern Winter Stamp with my Wow Embossing pad and embossing it with Wow white embossing powder on white Neenah cardstock.

I used my Hero Arts blending brushes and PinkFresh inks in Lavender, Summer Shower and Storm. I started with Lavender at the bottom then moved to Summer Shower then Storm. The embossing powder will resist the inks so the trees stayed white and the rest of the cardstock became colored. I wiped the entire panel with a tissue to remove any ink sitting on top of the embossing powder. I love the soft look this created.

I cut the panel with a PinkFresh's Essentials ornate banner die. I am really loving fancy edged dies right now and have a few others on my wish list. :) I cut a second ornate banner out of blue cardstock, actually, I only cut 1/2 of the banner since I only wanted the bottom to show. Might as well save cardstock where I can. 

I used my Photoplay Merry Christmas die cut out of more white Neenah cardstock. I added a touch of blue ink to the bottom of both words using the leftover ink on my blending brush to give the words a bit of interest. Mounted the Merry Christmas and then added everything onto an A2 white cardbase.
