Happiness Lavinia Card by Darcy Pollock
Today I'll be sharing a card made with a Lavinia gel printing press & stamps.
Gel press is called Boblong. Other supplies for the background are a brayer, and Lavinia Elements inks. Brayer with Lime Punch onto press. Smoosh a bit of Confetti Elements ink onto mat. Spray with a bit of water. Using a wet fan brush, dip into ink and tap onto brayered gel press, concentrating on one end. Clean brush & do the same with Mermaid Elements Ink. The more water you add the more it spreads. Take a piece of Mulifarious (or watercolor SMOOTH paper) slightly larger than the gel press. Place it over the gel press and smooth all over with your hand let sit for a few seconds and peel off. It's different every time! Dry well before stamping.
Lavina stamps used are Woodland Sprite, English Bluebell, Flowers mini (256), and 3 Blessings (673) for the sentiment.
Stamp Woodland Sprite in Twilight Versafine Clair ink near the bottom of the card.
Stamp the English Bluebell in Versafine Clair Paradise ink in first & second generation at the bottom varying the height & angle. Stamp the Flowers Mini in Paradise ink over the Sprites hair and trailing behind & down a bit in first, second & third generation. Stamp the sentiment near the top in Twilight.
Using a smoothy sponge edge panel lightly all around in Versafine Clair Warm Breeze, heavier at the bottom. Cut a card base that is 1/4” wider and taller than the panel. Using the same smoothy ink the edges of the card base. Adhere the panel to the front.
This was a really fun & easy card to make!
I hope you give it a try.
Darcy
