Tools: part 1

Tools: part 1

We have a great selection of tools to help you create your next masterpiece.

I know I am guilty of coming into the store and focusing on the newest and sexiest dies, stamps or paper patterns and cardstock.  Those are great and really make my heart happy, but without the tools I could only look at my purchases and not create a darn thing with them.

The different inks alone that we have in store are enough to make you drool!

From VersaFine Clair in their amazing range of colours, this pigment ink is perfect for detailed stamps like Lavinia.  You get crisp, clean images every time and the slower drying time makes it great to heat emboss with to add a little something extra to your cards.

Of course there are the ever popular Distress and Distress Oxide inks.  The same but different, really.  Distress is a dye based ink and is water reactive, even after it is dry.  The colours are brighter than the Oxides so you can have a really vibrant background.

Oxides are a hybrid of dye and pigment. They have lots of similarities to regular Distress but some great differences too.   Like regular Distress inks they are water reactive even after they are dry.  They have a "chalkier" appearance than Distress so the colours are a bit more muted.  If you remember to dry these inks as you are going, you can layer these inks and not get mud!  They layer beautifully, having an almost translucent look so you can see the colours underneath.

Then we have the Lisa Horton Cloud 9 inks.  We carry both the Metallics and the Interference inks.  The Metallics are pigment inks in a great range of colours.  There is a slight difference in how these inks look on white and black cardstock.  For a really dazzling difference between light and dark paper you have to try the Interference inks.  The shifts they make are incredible!

And these inks are just a small sample of what is in the store.  I haven't touched on the Archival inks, BetterPress inks, Wow Embossing ink. You have to come in to really appreciate the selection!
