New Event

 Grab your scissors and get ready for some serious fussy cutting fun.  Saturday October 25th is the inaugural World Fussy Cutting Day.  This event is being held in honour and in memory of Sharon Klima who was the owner of Buffalo Stamps & Stuff.  I am sure many of you are familiar with Sharon through Maker Mania.  

 Sadly, Sharon passed away in January from a heart attack.  As is so often the case, her symptoms did not fit in with what we have all been taught to look for.  The symptoms we all know about tend to be more in line with what a man may experience, the symptoms for women are different.  This event is to help bring awareness to everyone.  All funds raised at Crafty Capers will be going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Each participating store will be donating to charities in their area that do the same type of work.

 The cost for this event is $10.00 + tax.  It is a drop in style event from 10 am to 2 pm, but registration is required as there are only 25 spots available.  You will be making one card in the session and taking another card kit home with you.

 Please make sure you bring adhesives, a pokey tool, tweezers and your favourite fussy cutting scissors with you.  There will be some fussy cutting scissors to share, and perhaps you will find a new pair that makes fussy cutting your new favourite part of cardmaking!
