Monday Memos

We are collecting Cards for Seniors again this spring.  Bright, cheerful spring-like cards are great for lifting everyone's spirits from the card maker to the recipient.  The cards will be collected and distributed in May so you have a bit of time to get into the craft room and play.  The cards do not need to have any sentiments on the front or on the inside.  They do need to have an envelope.  And please feel free to put your name on the back of your card.  People like to know who made them smile. 

 As I mentioned in Friday's blog post March 28th is the final day to sign up for the BetterPress Society and the Oh What Fun event in August.

 The BetterPress Society is a program by Spellbinders where you sign up with your independent retailer and each month you receive a new BetterPress plate at a reduced price.  The program runs in 6 month increments so if you sign up now you will receive your first plate in July and each month after that until December.  The cost of the plate is $34.99 per month.  Some months add ons, such as colouring stencils are available to go with the plate.  You can opt in for all the add ons or you can let us know each month if you are interested in getting the add on.  Most people tend to sign up for the add ons at the same time they sign up for the BetterPress Society. 

 An added bonus of all the BetterPress plates is they work with the Glimmer system too so you are really getting 2 plates for the price of 1!

 There is a Facebook group for the BetterPress Society where the new plate is shown at the beginning of each month.  Any extras are also shown at that time.   Samples are shown to give you ideas as to how versatile the plates are.  Toward the end of the month there is a "Craft-A-Long" on the Facebook page using that months plate.  The supplies needed are always listed in advance so you can be organized and ready to craft.

 As mentioned, this program runs in 6 month increments so when you sign up you are committing to the full six months.   The program is a lot of fun and of course it is always nice to get something that is rather special!
