Hold time frame for pre-orders

I want to go over the time frame for holds that are part of a pre-order and how it all works.

The easiest way to explain it is, until it is paid for it is not yours.

Yes, we have pulled the item, put your name on it, contacted you to say it is here for you and given you the total of your order.  If this is a pre-order, you now have 48 hours to pay for your items.  After that 48 hours has elapsed, the items automatically go on the online store and will show as being available in inventory.  That means they are available for anyone to purchase.

You have a few options of how to pay for your items.  You can, of course, come into the store at 2137C Bowen Rd. and pay for them in person.  We would love to see you!  But life is busy and we can't always do the fun stuff when we want to so we do have other options for you.  You can e-transfer the amount to sales@craftycapers.com or you can call us at 250-585-0022 and we can take your credit card over the phone.  Once the items are paid for they are yours and we will put them in the paid area of the holds.  You then have a bit of breathing room and can pick them up after the 48 hour time frame with no worries.

If you have multiple items on pre-order and they are from different companies, chances are they will NOT all come in at the same time.  We recommend that you pay for these items as you are notified of their arrival in store.  For the reason explained above, it is not possible to hold all your pre-orders until everything has arrived so you can pay in one fell swoop.  If you wish to pay for everything at one time what I would suggest is you purchase a Crafty Capers gift certificate and leave it on file at the store.  We can note on your file that the gift certificate is here and deduct the total for each item as it comes in to the store.  You will be notified each time an item comes in and that the total has been deducted from the funds on your gift certificate.

Also, please remember that a pre-order is a commitment to purchase.
